Our bottled beers and ciders.
We try to seek out breweries of excellence whos beers are harder to find than the obvious ones found in supermarkets. As Mrs Cheese doesn't have a taste for beer, these have to pass the 'klubhaus test'. Mr Cheese retreats to the bottom of the garden with some gentleman friends and they don't return until all the beer has gone and decisions have been made !!
Elbow Beer
We are stockists for Frederic Robinson beers of Stockport including the marvellous 'Build a Rocket Boys' made with help from Mr Garvey and his chums. It is a fabulous light golden beer, fruity on the nose with an easy drinking bitter flavour.
Also from Robinsons brewery comes Old Tom. Winner of the prestigious World beer awards 'Worlds best ale' award. A fantastic strong (8.5%) dark ale which is slightly sweet and nutty. Old Tom comes in short attractive 330ml bottles.
Old Tom also comes in two fabulous flavour added versions: Ginger and Chocolate. Ginger Tom is blended with famous Fentimans ginger beer, while Chocolate Tom is a rich mixture of beer and good quality chocolate - if you havn't tried it yet - you need to.

Isle of Wight Garlic Beer

The surprise hit of the beer shelf so far. Garlic beer is exactly what it says on the label - a beer brewed on the island with a big clove of garlic in the bottom. It's VERY 'garlicy'. It makes a great ingredient for meaty gravies too. - £3.50

From the polite hills of Gloucestershire we bring you Whittingtons fine beers. A great little range of bottled ales ....

Cats Whiskers is a bright, medium-bodied beer, with a gentle sparkle and delivers a rich hop flavour to give a refreshing and characterful pint. This tawny coloured ale is 4.6% abv.

A Winters Tail - 5.1% a lovely dark traditional winter ale, plenty of crystal and a generous amount of chocolate malt giving you a nice smooth finish. Brewed with Goldings hops, and a touch of Northdown and Crystal, which allows for a pleasant hoppy and slightly nutty taste, an absolute must for those cold winter nights by the fire.

4% SPA, summer pale ale, a most drinkable beer. A definite for those lazy summer days, and still enjoyable by the fireside on those winters nights. This golden beer will deliver the Real Ale flavour without any overpowering hops and bitterness.
Whittingtons Also make a great Stout. Continuing the moggy theme calling it 'Stray Cat Stout'.
