There's Chocolate .... then there's Chocolate !

Our policy on chocolates is no different than any of the other products we keep - Best is best. We are confident that our little chocolate selection is far and away the best in Northampton.

We sell our handmade Belgian chocolates loose. So, you can just have one to help you on your way!! or a gift boxful or enough for a wedding reception. Our packaging is simple, because we want you to get your moneys worth. Too many chocolate shops 'dress-up' average quality chocolates in fancy, expensive packaging.

We currently buy from Van Coillie & Daskalides. Two of the finest chocolatier / pralinieur houses in Belgium. Both are known to supply high end London department stores who then label them as their own. We discovered Daskalides in northern France in one of their lovely shops. They put a certain well known high street brand over here to shame.

Jme is a range of products by Jamie Oliver that are only available in independent shops like ours. St Giles cheese are the Jme stockist for Northampton. There are some fair trade chocolate bars that we think are yummy. Try the 'Hello Sailor' - lovely smooth chocolate with sea salt. These will make great stocking fillers in their funky designed packets.

If you like marzipan (which we do) you will love Neideregger. They are probably the worlds biggest name in marzipan. We stock the lovely bars in some of their super flavours. Ginger is always a favourite, there's walnut, vodka &fig, orange and good old fashioned plain among others. For me [mr Cheese] I love the quality of the thick chocolate used in the bars.

..And what about a chocolate that pairs with wine. Two of the best things known to man at the same time!! As a cheese shop, we should be keeping this quiet, but we love Brix chocolate & wine so much we just have to tell you about it. They are specially blended to suit specific wine types. In each brown box is a solid 8oz hunk of great chocolate to break pieces off (with a good knife) and enjoy with a glass of wine. £7.50

We are stockists of this wonderful Belgian hot chocolate treat. Its quite simple... A big chunk of Belgian melting chocolate on a stick, just stir into hot milk. They come in an assortment of flavours.
